I101 is a virtual machine built on Linux to help students in I101 learn coding, database, and creating websites on LAMP structure. This tutorial helps you setup the appliance.

Download Files

1.0 Download VirtualBox

VirtualBox is the software that allows you to run a virtual machine on your existing machine. You need to download and install it first before you can setup the I101 appliance.

Go to the website to download the installation file. Then follow the instructions to install it. The process may be a little be different depends on what computers you are using.

2.0 Download the I101 appliance

You can download the appliance via this link. The file size is 2.1 GB, so it may take some time to download.

Import the appliance

The I101 appliance you just downloaded should be a .ova file. Follow this link to import the file to your virtualbox.

Start the appliance, login with password i101. You should see the desktop like below. alt text
